Oh Lord, why do old hurts and temptations always seem to come around? Just when you think you've been healed and all seems to be going right, something comes in to try to drag you back to the "ways of old". What is it? Am I not healed? What are these doubts all about? Lord, You know my heart; please keep me from all evil and wickedness. Keep my focus on You so I may avoid all temptations and wrongs, for I am weak when I am without You. Show me Your way, Your will, daily, so that I may stay on the path with You. Do not allow me to be involved in "trivial pursuits" of the heart, teach me all that truly matters. Allow me to be free from past hurts, to be able to follow You in freedom. Make each day a new day in the light with You. I praise You, Lord.
