When I'm alone I think of him
and all that could have been
When I'm alone I tell myself
if I'd only kept
my heart in place

Then, I'd  not be all alone.

I've found my desert, all alone
I've found serenity
I've found the place I want to be
I've found the real me.
now I realize the truth
it was not him at all

I am at peace, I am where I belong
I'm with the One who loves me most
who's loved me all along.
The One who's called me here below
to show and teach His love
I couldn't do it by myself
He's called me for His own.
